Self-righteous guilt-trip?  Heh, that's a good one.

This may turn out to be an unpopular opinion, I don't know. I do know that I've written to him several times so I have room to talk, at least a little.
I wonder if it ever occurred to Keith that he's in jail BECAUSE HE BROKE THE LAW. I wonder if he's further aware that the state gave him a chance to remain out of jail and he had to go back because he broke the rules. Maybe, just *maybe* the people on this list have other concerns that fill their time and make up their lives to worry too much about making sure Keith is comfy and happy. He deprived himself of those privileges when he committed whatever crime it was that he committed in the first place. Do I think he should just rot in jail? Of course not, but I'm not going to waste any time feeling guilty about not writing or spending my hard-earned money on books and things for a while either. And if you're in the camp who has never written or sent some gift or a money order or what have you, you don't need to feel guilty either. Feel free to live the life you've carved out for yourself as Keith does the same.
Oh, and Kimberly? You can feel free to curb the self-righteous guilt trip you keep laying on this group because so few of us have done anything. Keith needs to start counting his blessings and focusing on those who DO keep in contact and send him gifts and money and whatever else, EVEN IF THAT GROUP'S ROSTER ONLY HAS YOUR NAME ON IT AT THE MOMENT. Half the reason I haven't done anything lately is because of this "pity me" attitude he's adopted. I'm getting just a little tired of it, truth be told. The other half of it is that I can't come up with much of anything to say.
